Remind (previously Remind 101) is a great tool for sending out reminders.
Go to www.remind.com to sign up for your free account.
Here's how it works:
- You sign up for a free account.
- There is a printable sheet to send home to your students/parents.
- Parents or students then sign up for your "class" or activity.
- You can then send messages (texts) to the people who sign up.
What's neat about it is that the phone numbers are kept private. You don't see theirs and they don't see yours.
Other things to know:
- There is a 140 character limit.
- You can attach files, links, and pictures.
- Messages can be scheduled. So, if you know you want something done every Thursday, you can go ahead and put that in there!
Again, it protects the privacy of teacher and users...everything goes thru remind 101.
It's a great way to send a quick message to parents or students.
